About The Position

Saliba’s Extended Care Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a Customer Service role in Phoenix, Arizona. Requirements

  • Active Arizona pharmacy technician license required
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate

Nice To Haves

  • Call center or phone-based customer service experience preferred
  • Pharmacy operations system experience preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB), preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to facilities by taking orders, answering questions, and referring inquiries to appropriate departments.
  • Answer phone calls from facilities in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Create telephone orders for refills, new orders, and/or backup, and triage them to the appropriate queues for Order Entry staff.
  • Refill orders in the pharmacy computer system if requested by the facility and if not complicated.
  • Follow up with customers as needed, returning phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Answer facility questions or refer them to the proper resource for answers.
  • Take credit card information over the phone for payments.
  • Work with Medical Records to update resident information or changes, and create telephone orders for medical records, sending them to appropriate queues.
  • Take orders from Doctor’s offices and triage them to appropriate queues.
  • Check assigned facility faxes daily and contact Order Entry for any issues.
  • Link delivery sheets into Docutrack.
  • Check original prescriptions sent in tote or by mail, scan them into Docutrack and link them. Leave a note for Order Entry if they haven’t been completed.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.
