About The Position

PharMerica is hiring full-time Customer Service Pharmacy Technicians in Vancouver, WA! As an Customer Service Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for accurately entering and processing medication orders to ensure timely and safe patient care. In this role, you’ll work closely with pharmacists and operations teams to input prescription data, verify information, and maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to manage a high-volume workflow in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • 1 year of Pharmacy Technician/ Pharmacy Assistant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Must have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner.
  • Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies
  • Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests
  • Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications
  • Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices
  • Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level
  • Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
