We're seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic pharmacy team. This isn't just about counting pills; it's about being a vital link in our healthcare chain, ensuring patients receive the right medication, right on time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state of ND
  • Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing
  • Good communication skills, initiative, and attention to detail, flexibility, and cooperation.
  • Training in applicable EHR, pharmacy automation, and computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Master medication preparation and distribution, ensuring every dose is perfect.
  • Navigate all medication storage and procedural areas with high-level security clearance.
  • Uphold the highest state and federal regulations, from record-keeping to infection prevention.
  • Utilize cutting-edge systems and automated dispensing cabinets to manage our critical resources.
  • Prioritize tasks and adapt quickly in a high-demand environment, responding to acute patient needs.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with pharmacists and clinical staff, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.
  • Stocking and maintaining medication dispensing cabinets.
  • Managing patient-specific medication deliveries and processing transfers/discharges.
  • Handling narcotic distribution and discrepancy resolution with meticulous care.
  • Accurately processing credits, restocking returns, and recording waste.
  • Reviewing anesthesia records and reconciling controlled substances.
  • Ensuring current dating of all supplies and medications.
  • Providing essential support for IV solution dispensing.
  • Contributing to the training of new team members.
  • Accurately obtaining, labeling, and re-packaging medications as needed.
  • Accurately filling and distributing medications through first fill, cart fill and/or automated drug systems.
  • Completing inspections of medication rooms for regulatory compliance.
  • Accurately maintaining expiration dates and appropriately outdating inventory.
  • Operating pharmacy automation and medication computer software and hardware, optimizing safety and efficiency.
  • Applying knowledge of generic/trade name medications and different dosage formulations (i.e. ER,XR,SR).
  • Applying knowledge of medications and their preparation requirements and limitations (i.e. high risk, do not tube, hazardous, etc.).
  • Accurately processing patient medication orders and billing adjustments as required.
  • Performing specialized Narcotic Distribution.
  • Operating any AutoPackers to repackage oral and topical prepackage doses, ensuring Federal repackaging guidelines.
  • Accurately performing pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Managing time effectively.
  • Properly disposing of medications according to state and federal law.
  • Reporting medication errors appropriately.
  • Managing patient home medication acquisition and dispensing per hospital policy.
  • Maintaining secure access of pharmacy areas (use of panic button, magnetic lock, doorbell, keypad access).
  • Accurately performs pharmaceutical calculations on injectable medications with a narrow therapeutic index.
