About The Position
Transports medications and supplies to pharmacies, enables partners to perform their duties in an effective manner, and maintains inventory and a clean pharmacy environment.
Requirements
- Must be currently registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
- Required to obtain PTCB or ExCPT certification within 18 months of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Detail oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of previous pharmacy or customer service experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complies with USP 795, 797, and 800, and relevant regulatory standards for medication handling.
- Contributes to training of new pharmacy assistants when appropriate.
- Transports medications and supplies safely, timely, and accurately to their designated destinations.
- Performs drug inventories, rotations, and stock management, including sorting, unpacking, and restocking medications.
- Adheres to isolation and radiation precautions and utilizes proper body mechanics when handling medications.
- Communicates using customer-friendly phone skills and appropriately directs customer concerns.
- Maintains a clean and orderly pharmacy and maintains accurate and timely documentation of completed tasks in designated record keeping systems.
