About The Position

Join our team at Minnesota Urology as a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician- In-office Dispensary (IOD) located in the heart of Woodbury, MN. This is an on site position, and candidates must be able to report to Woodbury Clinic Monday-Friday. Compatative pay with an initial range of $21.60 an hour to $27.00 an hour. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • Solid understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Empathetic approach

Nice To Haves

  • Prior authorization experience is preferred, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfilling prescription orders by accurately counting, measuring, and packaging medications, while also applying correct labels with patient instructions.
  • Double-checking medication names and dosages to guarantee accuracy before dispensing.
  • Monitoring stock levels by tracking medications and supplies, identifying low inventory, and placing orders with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
  • Managing expiration dates by rotating medications and ensuring proper display.
  • Processing insurance claims, troubleshooting coverage issues, and reconciling discrepancies with insurance providers.
  • Handling prior authorizations for oral medications.
  • Applying for national grants for oncology treatments, ensuring patients receive the necessary support for their healthcare journeys.
