About The Position

Ascension Via Christi Hospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Tech for their Inpatient Pharmacy in Wichita, KS. This is a full-time position with day and evening shifts. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through their academic partnership with Wichita State University. Requirements

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Pharmacy Tech OR Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure medication accuracy by meticulously refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems to provide clinicians with the right tools at the point of care.
  • Optimize pharmacy operations through proactive inventory management and order preparation, ensuring essential supplies are always available for our patients.
  • Safeguard patient safety by expertly repackaging bulk medications and managing incoming supplies according to strict quality and storage standards.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between the pharmacy, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve inquiries and ensure a collaborative approach to treatment.
