About The Position

Under the direct supervision of pharmacy administration/staff pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for filling medication orders, filling patient cassettes, filling and maintaining point-of-care automation, and making deliveries and pick-ups to and from the patient care areas. This role also involves filling all stock requisitions, unpacking and stocking daily orders, ensuring proper storage of all medications, pre-packing medications, performing assigned floor inspections, tracking returned and expired medications, maintaining proper inventory records, and following appropriate waste management and IV admixture batching and preparation procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Pharmacy Technician Certification required
• Basic mathematical & computer knowledge is required
• Successful completion of all orientations and competencies

Nice To Haves

• Hospital/Retail experience
• RUMC Pharmacy internship or externship preferred
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) program preferred
• Pharmacy Intern permit preferred
