About The Position

The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent, required
  • State of Florida Pharmacy Technician license
  • PTCB certification or obtain within 12 months
  • Sterile Compounding Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years hospital experience
  • Advanced training in sterile compounding
