Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware, maintaining merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise, and monitoring and resolving problems in the prescription fulfillment process. Promotes the pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting the pharmacist in prescription fulfillment, processing insurance claims, and assisting patients with prescription orders. Provides patient service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, initiating the prescription fulfillment process, and resolving member issues. Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, fills prescriptions by retrieving, counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medication, mixing or reconstituting medications, and labeling prescription containers. Provides member assistance during prescription pickup by verifying and entering patient information, marking prescriptions for pickup, gathering electronic signatures, and logging the sale of restricted pharmaceutical items. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
