About The Position
The Pharmacy Tech assists pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders and performs technical duties involved in handling, packaging, and delivering pharmaceuticals. A Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency in two or more pharmacy function areas, which may include production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding, and home care/outpatient. The position provides patient care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; weekend and on-call work are not required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
- One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
