About The Position
Assists the clinical pharmacists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date, and registration must be in "active" good standing.
- Employees must obtain national certification with PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians) within one year of hire date.
- In the case of initial certification by examination, a paper result from the PTCB or ExCPT examination of “pass” will be considered active status for 30 days.
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
- Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses required.
