Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate.
Must be a Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician (licensure is not adequate for this position).
Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training course or a minimum of one year of on-the-job training.
Ability to accurately and effectively enter data into an electronic pharmacy record.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions, prioritize duties, and be organized.
Ability to effectively interact with patients and other staff with varied backgrounds and personalities and maintain good relationships.
Ability to provide excellent customer service under pressure to both patients and other staff.

Nice To Haves

This role will also function as a Medical Assistant when needed to support clinical operations.

Responsibilities

Accurately and effectively prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist.
Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
Accurately and effectively orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security in accordance with department policy and procedure.
Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
Accurately and effectively enters data into the computer system, records prescriptions, purchases orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
Under direction of the Pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.
Performs general clerical duties for the department.
Follows all Aviva Health and department policies, procedures, and practices.
Other duties as assigned.
