Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Must be a Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician (licensure is not adequate for this position).
  • Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training course or a minimum of one year of on-the-job training.
  • Ability to accurately and effectively enter data into an electronic pharmacy record.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, prioritize duties, and be organized.
  • Ability to effectively interact with patients and other staff with varied backgrounds and personalities and maintain good relationships.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service under pressure to both patients and other staff.

Nice To Haves

  • This role will also function as a Medical Assistant when needed to support clinical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and effectively prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist.
  • Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
  • Accurately and effectively orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security in accordance with department policy and procedure.
  • Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
  • Accurately and effectively enters data into the computer system, records prescriptions, purchases orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
  • Under direction of the Pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.
  • Performs general clerical duties for the department.
  • Follows all Aviva Health and department policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
