Pharmacy Tech - IV Compounding, PRN, Variable Shifts
About The Position
This is a PRN shift working as needed on variable shifts. Most shifts would be evening and weekends. Responsibilities include the admixtures of medications to IV solutions, preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. The role also involves maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas, functioning in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. The Pharmacy Tech will work with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practices, and perform other Pharmacy Technician duties as needed.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures
- Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire
