About The Position

CompleteRx is collaborating with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare to recruit candidates for two full-time positions: Pharmacy Tech IV (Certified) and Medication Reconciliation Technician (Pharmacy Technician – Bixler ER). Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system and the region's healthcare leader. It features a 772-bed acute care hospital and is the region's only Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, and Pediatric Intensive Care. TMH also offers the most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic, and surgery programs in the Panhandle.

Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program.
Three (3) years of pharmacy experience.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or (NHA).
Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and the intravenous admixture program.
Maintains confidential reports.
Enters and retrieves data utilizing the computer system.
Prepares intravenous medications (IV) (e.g., chemotherapeutic preparations, hyperalimentations, and antibiotics).
Fills automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications.
Procures and fills requests for pharmaceutical supplies.
Delivers supplies to patient care areas.
Manages pharmacy automation.
Engages in specialized departmental activities (e.g., documenting medication histories, chemotherapy IV compounding, preparing sterile IV medications, inventorying narcotics, or maintaining pharmacy inventory).
Assists in training/educating lower-level pharmacy technicians.
