Exciting opportunity at MSK: We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Pharmacy Technician for the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion on E. 53rd Street.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
- PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- NYS Pharmacy Technician License with current registration
Nice To Haves
- Prior chemotherapy experience is not required, but having strong IV compounding skills is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Perform inventory management (ordering, receiving, restocking).
- Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology.
- Compound medications, including chemotherapy in a cleanroom.
- Assist with pharmacy inspections.
- Adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.
- Make occasional deliveries to chemo units.
- Perform any other pharmacy operational task needed for patient care.
- Complete annual competency assessments.
- Maintain pharmacy files and records in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
