About The Position

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy tech assists in all pharmacy operation functions related to: preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock); and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

• Completion of certified pharmacy tech program
• National Technician Certification required
• High School diploma or GED
• 3 years hospital pharmacy technician experience

Responsibilities

• Preparation & distribution of all doses of medication
• Maintenance of drug inventories (stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock)
• Completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits)
