About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy technician manager, fills routine orders for inpatients, delivers routine and stat medications in a timely manner. Works in a variety of settings depending on the needs of the department. Completion of PTCB certification and sterile compounding online certification required for transfer to Tech II.

Requirements

• 1 year hospital experience preferred or other relevant experience as a medical technician
• H.S. diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations
• Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
• Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs
• Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
• Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
• Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
• Proof Of Current/Valid Car Insurance
• Valid DL With No More Than 3 Moving Violations
• High school graduate or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill medication orders for patients
• Restocking of automated dispensing cabinets
• Expiration audits and sign off of hospital areas as assigned
