A certified pharmacy technician, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, will engage in various activities that do not require the exercise of professional judgment. These activities include database entry and retrieval, label preparation, stocking and retrieving dangerous drugs, counting and pouring dangerous drugs, placing dangerous drugs into containers prior to dispensing, non-sterile and sterile drug compounding (after training), and stocking automated drug storage systems, floor stock, and crash carts.
