About The Position
Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. As we transition to an independent, standalone organization, we are building and strengthening internal capabilities to support our approximately 6,000 colleagues and multi-state operations. Requirements
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
- PTCB National Certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist in order entry tasks and medication dispensing processes.
- Enter in orders.
- Work alongside the pharmacist to ensure accuracy.
- Provide best in customer service.
- Calculate and/or verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
- Enter new and refilling orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare backup pharmacy orders.
- Comply with a process that addresses all state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling.
