Requirements

  • Ability to read and write.
  • Work overtime as required, in emergency situations or when prior notification is given by management.
  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a pharmacy, retail, or medical setting

Responsibilities

  • Receive product deliveries, pull and stage product for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with delivery drivers.
  • Focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations.
  • Preparing the finished prescriptions as well as other light warehouse duties
  • Performing physical inventories of medication
  • Scanning all medication pending for delivery
  • Sorting baskets for delivery by facility units, location, and delivery times
  • Perform all tasks in accordance to OSHA and Facility safety guidelines.
  • Process facility returns in the computer system accurately and timely.
  • Restock medications in appropriate locations after processing.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted for accurate updating.
  • Read put away labels to determine storage location of merchandise and verify item is correct.
  • Package medications in unit dose packages accurately.
  • Perform other duties as required by Supervisor/Management.
  • Ability to cross-train and perform to standard in various functions as required by Management.
  • Operate battery changing equipment.
