Reports to the Pharmacy Purchasing Supervisor. Under the supervision of a pharmacist and Purchasing Specialist receives medications and pharmaceutical supplies (i.e., stock) at the loading dock and transports within the Consolidated Service Center (CSC). Identifies suspected illegitimate products received and takes appropriate action. Initiates and executes electronic tracing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies received into and transferred out of the CSC. Receives, signs, processes, sorts, and files pharmacy supply documents in accordance with Brown University Health policies and procedures. Performs duties in compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) Chapter 800 iHazardous Drugs - Handling in Healthcare Settings, and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recommendations for hazardous drug handling. Adheres to USP Chapter 795 iPharmaceutical Compounding – Nonsterile Preparations procedures to repackage bulk non-sterile pharmaceutical products for Brown University Health facilities. Prepares medication for distribution to replenish inventory at Brown University Health facilities. Prioritizes and coordinates logistics for shipping of medications to appropriate Brown University Health facilities.
