Your Role: Leads the Pharmacy-Cancer Center team (department 7072). Coordinates, monitors, supervises pharmacy services (e.g., human resources, medication systems, and pharmaceutical care) to ensure high-quality, patient-focused care provision meeting all federal, state, and local laws and regulations is provided. Provides leadership in optimal product sterile preparation, medication dosing, and providing patient-specific drug information (e.g., patient-specific dosing). Works with the oncology leadership team and staff members constantly to innovate high-quality, cost-effective pharmacy services delivery methods. Plans and develops customer-focused pharmacy systems and services to meet the medical enterprise’s changing needs. Manges and develops staff members to ensure competency and growth. Manages the Pharmacy-Cancer Center’s budget, including volumes, drugs, and personnel expenses. Aides in preventing medication errors and adverse drug reactions. Displays an understanding of diversity. Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values). Enhances and contributes empathetically to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients. Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited pharmacy school.
  • Two (2) years of relevant pharmacist experience
  • Licensed [or eligible for licensure (i.e., meets all statutory requirements for Florida licensure application)] as a pharmacist per Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Sections 007 through 013
