About The Position

South Country Co-op is seeking a Pharmacy Student to join their team as a Pharmacy Assistant. This seasonal position is based at their Pharmacy in Taber, AB. The role is suitable for customer-focused individuals who have completed their first year of Post-Secondary Studies in a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) at a recognized and accredited post-secondary institution within Canada. The position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist on Duty. The Pharmacy Assistant performs technical duties, including data entry and preliminary filling of prescriptions. This role involves a high degree of direct patient contact, which is crucial for developing a positive patient experience. The Provincial Regulatory Body limits the duties that Pharmacy Assistants are authorized to perform. This position is well-suited for individuals who are highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of first year of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and support positive patient experiences
  • Assist with data entry and prescription processing
