About The Position

Provides clinical pharmacy services throughout the hospital. Assists in staffing distribution areas as needed (i.e. central pharmacy). Requirements

No experience required
Doctorate degree in Pharmacy required upon hire
R.Ph. - Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of Kentucky required within 90 days of employment in this position
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Works under direct supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
Reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
Completes all residency program requirements and complies with all conditions of the residency program as specified in the residency letter of acceptance.
Participates in the assessment, evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of departmental operations, policies, and procedures with department managers.
Actively participates in a formal research project including data collection, analysis, presentation, and manuscript preparation.
