About The Position
The PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident role is a one-year post graduate training program with the goal of providing new practitioners with additional confidence and competency in the practice of clinical pharmacy. Residents are exposed to inpatient and ambulatory practices, gain valuable experience in direct patient care, and complete research projects that develop well rounded clinicians at the time of graduation. The PGY-1 program serves as an important recruitment tool, and provides preceptor pharmacist with additional engagement and career satisfaction.
Requirements
- Doctorate Degree Pharmacy/Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Completion of BLS/ACLS Courses.
- Pharmacist Licensure from the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy. Must obtain both by October 1st of the year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
- Complete research projects.
