About The Position

This job concentrates on the development of clinical practice skills. The Resident actively participates in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and teaching conference where knowledge of the medication use process will be developed via patient care and distributive activities. The Resident develops knowledge of drug use policy and basic management skills. The Resident develops communication skills through writing assignments, presentations and day-to-day interactions with health care professionals. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited College/School of Pharmacy
  • License to practice pharmacy in the State of Louisiana
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
