About The Position

Responsible for optimizing patient care by promoting rational, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy. This role involves performing all duties associated with the Registered Pharmacist position within the scope of licensure, initiating and documenting pharmacist interventions to change prescribing where required, and participating in patient care rounds as appropriate. The resident will also contribute to and participate in the departmental medication use evaluation plan, including Clinical Management Initiatives (CMI), and regularly review current medical/pharmacy literature for recent developments in disease state therapeutics and new product development. Additionally, the role includes providing health professionals with drug information and/or references.

Requirements

Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
Pharmacist [State License] required.
Experience with computer word processing required.
Knowledge of pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing technology and personal computers.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Some experience with spreadsheets or databases and other computer software preferred.
