About The Position
The Pharmacy Purchaser maintains an appropriate supply of drugs and pharmaceuticals for John Muir Health System. The Pharmacy Purchaser handles ordering, invoicing, billing and tracking of pharmaceuticals and supplies. The Pharmacy Purchaser coordinates pharmaceutical cost containment programs (ie SEARCH), maintains accurate contract pricing (ie Vizient), and government drug pricing programs (ie 340B) across the health system.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent Required or Equivalent Experience
- Pharmacy Tech - California Board of Pharmacy - Required
- CPhT Pharmacy Technician - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board - Required
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of College - Preferred
- Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program - Preferred
- College Mathematics - Preferred Coursework
- General Science - Preferred Coursework
- 5 years Pharmacy - Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Preferred
- 5 years Pharmacy - Pharmacy Purchasing, 340B program experience - Preferred
