About The Position

Serves as a key leader overseeing an integrated team of payment policy specialists, clinical reviewers, statisticians, and data analysts to achieve CMS goals and objectives related to Medicare Part B or Medicare Part D programs. This role encompasses directing policy analysis, validating advanced analyses, and supervising clinical reviews. Leveraging deep pharmacy knowledge and extensive leadership experience, the Program Manager plays a critical role in identifying and evaluating program enhancements and innovative solutions to improve the Medicare Program.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in pharmacy roles
  • 7+ years of experience in pharmacy roles in Medicare Part B and D programs
  • Experience working with CMS data or health claims data, including Medicare and Medicaid, in the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) environment
  • Experience facilitating large meetings with both internal and external audiences, and managing integrated teams, including subcontractors, with full oversight of contract budgets and delivery risks
  • Experience with the federal procurement and proposal process
  • Experience identifying, reporting, and mitigating contract, budget, or delivery risks proactively
  • Experience collaborating with government payer programs, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage encounter data and Prescription Drug Event (PDE) data
  • Ability to deliver technical recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders using a variety of delivery techniques
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pharmaceutical benefit management organizations.
  • Experience in presenting technical reports and findings to Senior Level leaders, and working with stakeholder especially relating to pharmacists, clinicians, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
  • Experience as a clinical pharmacist
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology systems related to pharmacy, such as electronic health records (EHR), pharmacy information systems, or medication administration software
  • Knowledge of analytic programming languages including R, Python, SAS, or SQL
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical care processes and pharmacy regulatory environments
  • Ability to provide published research in peer-reviewed journals
  • Ability to analyze pharmacy data to drive evidence-based decisions and quality improvement initiatives
  • Doctorate degree in Economics, Statistics, Pharmacy or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Pharmacy Certification
