This position is responsible for providing pharmacy products and services to customers in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and company policies. This includes assisting with processing prescription and/or over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases, stocking and securing pharmacy supplies and merchandise, entering prescription information, and filling prescriptions. The role also involves completing, maintaining, and securing paperwork, forms, and required documentation. Additionally, the intern will provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving customer issues, and promoting products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment. The intern will operate equipment such as cash registers, receive and stock merchandise/supplies, organize and maintain the pharmacy area, and handle claims and returns. Maintaining merchandise presentation includes stocking, rotating, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, and signing/pricing merchandise appropriately.
