About The Position

The Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern supports Walmart’s community pharmacy team while gaining hands-on experience in patient care. The role helps improve customer health and wellness by advocating for patient wellbeing and supporting the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The intern is paid and contributes to the team’s goals and the company’s success. The position is based at 2451 North 90th Street, Omaha, Nebraska.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Address individual patient needs.
Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

Protect the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
