About The Position

The Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of pharmacy patient care coordinators (PCC) serving ARx Patient Solutions Pharmacy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, Teams)
  • Demonstrates effective leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to complete required Pharmacy training and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of trainings.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage daily schedule and intraday operations.
  • Demonstrates ability to evaluate, assess and correct PCC performance.
  • Demonstrates ability to generate, interpret and present operational reports related to SLAs.
  • Demonstrates ability to monitor phone queues and quality evaluations.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify, assess, and report adverse events.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Kansas Pharmacy Technician License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 2-4 years’ experience as a supervisor preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily PCC tasks and performance levels applying operating discipline across both front end and fulfillment.
  • Monitors pharmacy workflow queues and phone service levels.
  • Creates PCC schedule and monitors schedule adherence.
  • Manages and reallocates resources intraday to maintain workload and service level agreements.
  • Provides coaching and performance feedback as needed.
  • Provides huddles to cover communications/process opportunities and changes.
  • Completes 1 on 1’s to evaluate workload, performance, and correction.
  • Completes timecard review, mid-year performance review and annual performance review of strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintains team morale and employee retention by serving as a point of contact for questions and concerns.
  • Resolves challenges, conflicts, and grievances in partnership with HR as needed.
  • Participates in interviewing and hiring new PCCs and completes training.
  • Maintains commitment to quality and efficiency by reviewing processes and procedures.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for process and procedure changes.
  • Provides communication and follow up to ensure PCCs are fully informed of all new information related to products, procedures, customer needs and company related issues, changes, or actions.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of direct reports.
  • Maintains collaboration among PCCs and resolves grievances.
  • Prepare composite reports from individual reports for direct reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Identify and report adverse events pursuant to program requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report safety information.
  • Directly supervises all PCCs within ARx Patient Solutions Pharmacy.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
