Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Requirements

B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
5+ year’s hospital pharmacy experience (inclusive of related leadership experience).
Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
Other applicable state requirements – i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
BLS certification.
Experience working in Microsoft Office applications, Electronic Medical Record Systems.

Nice To Haves

Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
1 year as a pharmacy operations specialist.
Hospital Pharmacy Management experience.
ALS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department
Providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed
Inventory management
Staff oversight
Policy and procedure development
Education within the pharmacy
Provide support, mentoring, and oversight of the activities of the clinical pharmacists and supportive personnel on staff
Assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable
