About The Position

The Director of Operations is accountable for end-to-end performance across a region of RLS pharmacies, including safety and compliance, service reliability, and financial results. This role sets the operating rhythm for the region, owns key P&L levers, and builds leadership capability at scale through disciplined execution and coaching. The Director ensures consistent standards across multiple sites, drives cross functional alignment, and serves as the senior escalation point for operational, customer, and people related matters. Success in this role is measured by sustained operational performance, financial discipline, regulatory readiness, and the strength of the manager bench.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi‑site operations with financial accountability
  • Experience in GxP or highly regulated environments with audit responsibility
  • Proven success building and developing management teams across dispersed locations

Responsibilities

  • Own regional operational performance across multiple pharmacy sites, including safety, quality, service, and cost outcomes
  • Lead compliance and quality performance, ensuring audit readiness, trend management, and timely corrective actions (CAPAs)
  • Establish and run the operating cadence, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI reviews, staffing alignment, and escalation management
  • Accountable for regional P&L levers, including labor, overtime, waste, generator utilization, courier/logistics costs, and rework
  • Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to optimize cost
  • Serve as the senior leader for customer relationships and escalations, managing retention risk and service recovery
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to support customer acquisition and retention
  • Develop and coach Regional Managers and Pharmacy Managers, building leadership capability and bench strength
  • Drive workforce planning & talent development initiatives
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Finance, Sales/Commercial, Supply Chain, and People & Culture
  • Translate enterprise strategy into clear regional priorities with consistent execution
