About The Position

Pharmacy Manager, Help Center Pharmacy - Fort Worth, TX Outgoing, friendly, compassionate, and extremely customer service oriented Pharmacy Manager needed for The Help Center Pharmacy, a clinic-based, retail pharmacy located in Fort Worth, TX. In this integrated model, the Pharmacy Manager will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients. VytlOne, headquartered in Amarillo, TX, manages this pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager, a VytlOne employee, is a competent, dynamic leader who is responsible for the coordination of patient services within the pharmacy and supervision of pharmacy staff. About The HELP Center for LGBTQ + Wellness Founded in 1994 to address a critical need to connect health education and prevention services to marginalized populations – those who found it difficult or impossible to access programs addressing their specific and unique characteristics in a culturally appropriate manner, HELP has consistently expanded and adapted. Our focus is on making vitally needed care available to at-risk adolescents and adults, HIV positive individuals, ethnic and sexual minorities, and the LGBTQ community as a whole.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Clear/Active TX Pharmacist license
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail and/or clinic-based pharmacy management experience
  • Experience in HIV/AIDS clinical setting, HIV Certified is highly preferred
  • Accreditation experience - URAC and/or ACHC
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a diverse and complex patient population

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HIV/AIDS clinical setting, HIV Certified is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Manager and/or the Regional VP of Pharmacy Operations to ensure the pharmacy provides optimal service, meets legal and accreditation/certification requirements, and complies with all policies and standards of VytlOne.
  • Maintain daily operation of pharmacy department by supervising pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the routine performance of their duties.
  • Provide appropriate technical and customer service training for pharmacy staff.
  • Review and update established drug-therapy guidelines and other policies and procedures, in conjunction with the Regional Manager and/or the Executive VP of Operations, for use by physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.
  • Provide drug information to meet the needs of physicians and nurses through direct contact or in-service programs.
  • Prepare various reports and maintain records or supervise the maintenance of records as required or requested by the Regional Manager and/or the Executive VP of Operations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of drug therapies and drug reactions and interactions by reading professional literature, attending seminars and utilizing professional affiliations.
