About The Position

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including processing and dispensing prescriptions, administering immunizations, and managing pharmacy operations. This role also involves driving sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas, ensuring compliance with all legal and company policies, and supervising and developing pharmacy associates. The manager will foster a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy, while also focusing on health care compliance execution and financial management. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, degree or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
Completion of an ACPE accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and other programs.
Drives sales and profit in Pharmacy and OTC areas through effective merchandise presentation, pricing, stocking, and inventory management.
Oversees the implementation of community outreach programs and encourages associates to be active community members.
Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including training, mentoring, performance feedback, and recognition.
Ensures confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records.
Manages Pharmacy Operations, including conducting associate meetings, ensuring alignment with Company and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOP, QA), and overseeing inventory flow.
Manages finances, including interpreting financial data, managing budgets, and ensuring financial performance aligns with business strategy.
Creates a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy, ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
Analyzes and identifies areas for improvement in patient safety and risk reduction, promoting reporting and transparency of errors.
Fosters an environment centered on health care compliance execution, including training and guiding associates on compliance initiatives.
Ensures appropriate operational execution of billing procedures, HIPAA compliance, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Utilizes auditing processes to identify compliance issues and implement improvement processes.
