Pharmacy Manager/FT (Florence, SC)
About The Position
Come join our MUSC/Florence Medical Center team as a full time Pharmacy Manager! This role leads, manages, and supports the department's clinical/cognitive pharmaceutical care services. Key functions include implementing programs for safe and cost-effective drug use, providing clinical consultative services and drug information to healthcare providers and students, assessing/reviewing the clinical activities of staff pharmacists and students, providing oversight to formulary management functions under the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, and collecting/assessing documentation of clinical service effectiveness to aid in developing new or expanded clinical service programs.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Pharmacist licensure in SC or eligibility for licensure via examination or reciprocity
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
- 7 years progressive work experience
- 2 years management experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Nice To Haves
- Completed a pharmacy practice residency or comparable experience (usually 3-5 years beyond the terminal degree)
Responsibilities
