The Pharmacy Manager provides comprehensive patient care, processes and accurately dispenses prescription orders, administers immunizations, and manages other Walmart pharmacy programs in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations. This role drives sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, developing cross-functional relationships, and assessing economic trends and demographics. The manager models and enforces customer service standards, oversees community outreach programs, and ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations. Key responsibilities include supervising and developing Associates, maintaining confidentiality, managing pharmacy operations, overseeing inventory flow, and demonstrating sound financial management. The position emphasizes creating a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy, ensuring counseling, identifying areas for improvement, promoting error reporting, and fostering an environment centered on healthcare compliance execution, including HIPAA adherence and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The role also involves building high-performing teams, promoting a culture of belonging, acting with integrity, serving customers, and striving for excellence through continuous improvement and learning.
