About The Position

This job implements and maintains pharmacy practice models to enhance the care of patients by providing the most cost-effective treatments and pharmacy services to patients. Oversees all pharmacy related education and training programs within the pharmacy department and outside the department; and maintains an active research and scholarship program within the department. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • School/college of pharmacy degree.
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of practice.
  • 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Post graduate year 2 (PGY2) pharmacy residency.
  • Certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, develops, retains and inspires an engaged workforce.
  • Designs, develops and implements clinical pharmacy services.
  • Supports quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures financial stability.
  • Manages departmental educational and scholarship activities.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
