Pharmacy Manager, City Employee Pharmacy - Colorado Springs, CO. Kind, compassionate, customer service oriented Pharmacy Manager needed for the City Employee Pharmacy, a closed door pharmacy located in Colorado Springs, CO. City Employee Pharmacy is a pharmacy located in the City of Colorado Springs. City Employee Pharmacy is staffed by experienced personnel who are dedicated to providing the highest quality of pharmaceutical care for the city employees of Colorado Springs, CO. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm NO WEEKENDS. VytlOne (formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services), manages the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager, a VytlOne employee, is a competent, dynamic leader who is responsible for the coordination of patient services within the pharmacy and supervision of pharmacy staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current Colorado Pharmacist license
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail and/or clinic-based pharmacy management experience
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of local, state, and federal accrediting body and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Manager and or the Executive VP of Operations ensure the pharmacy provides optimal service, meets legal and accreditation/certification requirements, and complies with all policies and standards of Maxor National Pharmacy Services Corporation.
  • Maintain daily operation of pharmacy department by supervising pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the routine performance of their duties.
  • Provide appropriate technical and customer service training for pharmacy staff.
  • Review and update established drug-therapy guidelines and other policies and procedures, in conjunction with the Regional Manager and/or the Executive VP of Operations, for use by physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.
  • Provide drug information to meet the needs of physicians and nurses through direct contact or in-service programs.
  • Prepare various reports and maintain records or supervise the maintenance of records as required or requested by the Regional Manager and/or the Executive VP of Operations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of drug therapies and drug reactions and interactions by reading professional literature, attending seminars and utilizing professional affiliations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
