Pharmacy Manager, Outpatient Pharmacy
About The Position
The Pharmacy Manager, Outpatient Pharmacy will serve as the pharmacist-in-charge of the outpatient pharmacy and coordinator of the 340b program. This role operates under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and involves dispensing medications, collaborating with healthcare professionals, maintaining patient records, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. A key aspect of this role is the management of the 340B pharmacy operations, including inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, maximizing savings, maintaining program integrity, developing policies and procedures, staff training, and completing annual HRSA recertification.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy software and technology
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide appropriate counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Review and interpret prescription orders to verify accuracy and appropriateness
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and interactions
- Supervise other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Oversee and manage the pharmacy's inventory
- Comply with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Provide information to customers regarding over-the-counter medications and health-related products
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and medication-related questions
- Ensure compliance with HRSA regulations, preventing duplicate discounts, and maintaining audit readiness
- Manage 340B pharmacy operations, including inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
- Maximize savings while maintaining program integrity
- Develop 340B policies, procedures, and staff training materials
- Complete annual HRSA recertification and register new sites
