About The Position

Per Diem Pharmacy Intern at Mount Sinai Hospital. This role involves filling orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a pharmacy supervisor or staff pharmacist. Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited (ACPE) College of Pharmacy, end of 3 year or above.
• Name: Pharmacy Intern Permit

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medication.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules and prepares labels for bottles.
• Fills medications orders for individual patients under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Prepares intravenous (IV) medication using sterile technique under the supervision of hospital pharmacists.
