About The Position
Pharmacy Intern Sunnyview Hospital - Per Diem - Rotating shifts If you are looking for a per diem Pharmacy intern position to meet your schedule, this could be your opportunity. What you will do: Pharmacy Intern performs the technical aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping and inventory control under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered pharmacist. His/her duties involve a variety of work, performed under standard operating procedures including direct patient interaction, patient counseling and medication reconciliation. Work involves mental and visual attention, accuracy and moderate pressure while working at a rapid pace under frequent deadlines and frequent interruptions and distractions.
Requirements
- Presently enrolled in Pharmacy College and completed at least the fourth year
- Active NYS Intern Permit
Nice To Haves
- Some pharmacy experience
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Work experience in a registered pharmacy is preferred
