About The Position
This role offers an excellent opportunity for pharmacy students actively enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy to apply their knowledge in a clinical environment while contributing to high-quality patient care. Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, or director of pharmacy services, the Pharmacy Intern will assist with a wide range of technical and clerical duties supporting our hospital-wide unit-dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy
- Active Pharmacy Intern License in the State of Ohio.
Nice To Haves
- Up to 1 year of experience in a related field (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Assists in Pharmacist duties such as order entry, drug information and clinical monitoring.
- Assists pharmacist with medication preparation and dispensing without errors.
- Assists pharmacist with sterile products preparation and dispensing without errors.
- Operates all pharmacy automation accurately and efficiently.
- Prioritizes activities to optimize workflow using appropriate problem-solving techniques.
