Pharmacy Intern
About The Position
This role is for a Pharmacy Intern who will play a critical role in delivering the company's purpose and values, demonstrating genuine care for patients. The intern will be immersed in a culture of continuous improvement aimed at changing healthcare for the better. Through the ExperienceRx™ program, the intern will assist the Pharmacy team in providing an excellent patient experience. This includes participating in the prescription filling process, providing patient counseling, collaborating with healthcare professionals, offering health screenings and immunizations, assisting with customer service, ensuring patient safety, addressing patient and customer questions, adhering to pharmacy professional practice and regulatory requirements, and managing inventory. A key component of the role is promoting patient health through patient care programs. The intern will display empathy and compassion, motivate the team, identify business opportunities, support solution implementation, adapt to change, stay current with developments, seek growth and collaboration, align others around purpose, and contribute to a positive team culture.
Requirements
- Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state in which you are employed
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy
Responsibilities
- Participates in all aspects of the prescription filling process
- Providing Patient Counseling
- Collaboration with all Healthcare Professionals to provide coordinated patient care
- Offering Health Screenings and Immunizations when appropriate
