Pharmacy Intern
About The Position
This role involves performing the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The intern will maintain proper narcotic documentation, ensure the proper distribution of narcotic medications, and oversee the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and monitoring of medications. Additionally, the intern will dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas, potentially compounding medications, and assist pharmacists in monitoring patient profiles. The role also includes providing medication information and education to medical staff and patients.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board preferred.
- High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited US school of pharmacy.
Responsibilities
