About The Position

As a third-year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you work as part of the pharmacy team to support the company’s purpose and deliver care to patients. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you help maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment and provide exceptional patient care. The role includes patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.

A key part of the role is supporting the health of customers and patients through the adoption and management of patient care programs. Interns are expected to demonstrate empathy and compassion, seek opportunities to learn and collaborate, align others with the organization’s purpose, and foster a caring, energetic, enthusiastic, and proud team culture.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and the required timeframe.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items.
• Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing, or other tasks primarily performed with the fingers.
• Ability to reach overhead and extend hands and arms in multiple directions to place, move, or lift items.
• Ability to adjust machines to exact positions.
• Ability to stoop and bend at the waist to move items between low and high positions.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts.
• Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds, frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force, and constantly exert negligible force to move objects.

Responsibilities
