About The Position
For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Requirements
- Holds a Pharmacy Intern Permit issued by the State of New York.
- Must have completed at least the third year in a six year Pharmacy program.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a Pharmacist receives, compounds, and dispenses drugs following standard procedures on the orders of qualified practitioners.
- Ability to communicate well with other members of the Department as well as other disciplines.
- Must be neat, have mathematical aptitude, be able to read various types of handwriting, and be able to recognize drugs and identify them.
- Must have finger dexterity in handling of unit dose and unit of use products
