About The Position

Our team is comprised of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our inpatient pharmacy team collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for hospitalized patients. We oversee the medication storage, distribution, and management in a variety of settings. We review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions, accurately prepare and dispense medications, provide evidence-based drug information, monitor drug levels to optimize therapy, and educate patients and families about their medications. By prioritizing medication safety and minimizing adverse events, we strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to their overall well-being.

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Fulfilling requirements towards a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions related to preparation, storage and distribution of medication within the health system.
• The student will perform higher levels of professional support as they advance through pharmacy school.
• Embraces the goals/objectives encompassing Pharmaceutical activities for the Beaumont Healthcare System.
• Promotes team efforts to manage and achieve departmental/corporate objectives.
• Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness throughout daily activities and personal commitment to professional growth.
