About The Position
Join Hartford HealthCare at Backus Hospital as a Pharmacy Intern. This role assists registered pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications, both sterile and non-sterile. Responsibilities include maintaining records and inventory to ensure medications are readily available for patient administration. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited PharmD program
- Pharmacy Intern registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection required by March 31st of each year.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Manual dexterity and basic keyboard skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists registered pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile medication.
- Maintains records and inventory.
- Ensures medications are ready and available for patient administration.
